How To Dominate Your Business

What if you could crack the code to dominating your network
marketing business and have prospects proactively seeking
out how to join your business?

Here's how . . .

Read closely:

They said that calling leads was the ONLY way that network
marketing would ever work and that any other approach would
fail miserably. If ONLY I had listened maybe it would have
worked.

But I didn't.

Instead I took the opposite approach and two years later
each and every single day prospects find a way to join my
business regardless of what I do.

Not so important that this happens, more important is why.

Here's why . . .

Think about walking down the street a pushing a person you
don't know. What's going to happen?

They are going to push back and most likely get very angry
at you.

When you call leads and read a hard sell script to them it's
like trying to push them into your business. They react with
resistance.

Your hard work repels most prospective clients. Not what you
want.

When you go the opposite route of allowing them to come to
you the exact opposite thing happens.

You don't sell a thing. They see what you have to offer and
who you are and they want in.

You attract them.

The psychology is what's important here. Internally they
sell themselves, they build all the reason why they should
be doing what you're doing and when that reaches a boiling
point they take action.

Who would you rather work with?

Someone you've cornered into joining your business or
someone proactively found a way to join your business.

Who's going to be the more motivated team mate?

That's the essence of internet network marketing, all
that's left is developing the ability to have many people
going through this attraction process daily and when that
happens your business grows without much personal effort.

How To Be A Leader

I was sitting here thinking about what it is to be a leader.

They tell you all the time that you have to be a leader to have any success in this industry, but no one ever really explains to you how to become a leader that people want to follow.

Leadership is not something you acquire overnight. It is a process that takes time to develop.

Let me explain

I believe being a leader is about your experiences, all the trials and tribulations that you have to go through to become a leader. Everything that happens to you in you business whether it’s good or bad, gives you experience. How you process those experiences will either make you a follower or a leader.

How can you help someone with their problem if you have never experienced it yourself? How can you give someone advise on what works if you have never tried it yourself?

In my first business opportunity it took me a whole year to find a single person to join me in my business! The problem I had was I lacked experience in this industry, oh yah, I was a leader in everything else I did, but I didn’t have the experience and knowledge I needed to be a leader in this industry.

What’s funny is that deep down inside me, I had a fear of someone joining me in my business because I didn’t know what to do with them if they joined me! So I was hoping people would join me, but at the same time I was relieved when they didn’t.

This was a viscous cycle I had to stop if I wanted any success at all.

I learned along the way that by going through this process I was developing as a leader myself. I learned from all my failures, and tried not to repeat them over and over. I learned that I needed to educate myself on this industry and on my business.

It’s not one thing you learn that makes you a leader, it’s having to go through this whole process that you start to develop as a leader.

I had someone ask me the other day, “Can you show me what you do on a daily basis to grow your business?” I told them I could, “but you have to APPLY what you learn, to your business to gain that experience.”

I can show you all day long what it is I do on a daily basis, but until you actually TRY it, you will never gain that experience and therefore never develop as a leader.

Take a look at all the gurus out there and the struggles they went through when they first started in this industry. The secret to how they became leaders and wealthy, is that they learned from those failures and gained that experience. They didn’t quit!

You hear all the leaders telling you to never give up, because they know that the experience you are going through, are the same experiences they went through, and they know in time you will develop as a true leader in this industry by going through this processes like they did.

As long as you don’t quit and you continue to learn and apply what you learn, you will, in time, develop into a leader that people trust and want to follow. And as you grow personally, your business will grow.

I guarantee it!

How To Create Income On Demand

The secret is simple. You set a goal and then you go get it.
But what happens to most is they stop themselves dead in
their tracks for no good reason.

They create personal resistance to success, and you CANNOT
achieve what you desire until you break through these
barriers.

"I don't have enough money."

"I don't know if I can do that."

"I can't do what he did."

Are all barriers many put up to stop themselves. Don't allow
them to stop you! Take a deep breath and charge ahead!

YES YOU CAN!!!

What Does It Mean?

Network marketing can be a tough business and it's not the
fault of the systems we use to grow our business or the
companies we choose to represent, rather it's tough because
no one teaches you how to interpret the results we generate
from our promotional activities.

What I mean by this is, most of us that come into this
industry come in full of hope and desire for more in our
lives, but with little to no experience in running a REAL
business, so we tend to interpret the things happening in
our business through our past experiences.

Our J.O.B. experiences . . . Which is WRONG!

That is when you go to work for someone else, you know what
to expect. You put in a 40 hour week and you know you're
going to get paid your going rate for that 40 hours of work
no matter how productive you really are.

This is good in that there is little to no risk in this
situation, except if you slack to much you may get fired.

But it can be bad because this thought construct CANNOT be
carried over successfully to an entrepreneurial situation
and it doesn't allow for true personal and financial
limitless growth like network marketing or owning your own
business does.

In the beginning, it's true you could be putting in 60 hours
a week cold calling leads and getting little to no results
for those efforts, but for those that stick it out and reach
a plateau of success, there's the other more appealing side
to the coin.

Once you have an organization growing under you, you can take a
month off and still get paid the same amount or more than
the previous month because you've built equity into your
business in your organizational growth.

That's true freedom, and if you haven't experienced it yet
let me tell you it's worth all the heartache and struggle
you go through to get there.

But you can't get there thinking about your network
marketing business through the same mental lens you think
about your J.O.B. because it will only lead to frustration,
confusion, and failure.

For instance . . .

What if you put in 40 hours of cold calling or my fortay
internet marketing into your business in the next week and
generate no financial gains from those efforts?

If you think about the situation through your J.O.B. mental
lens you'll probably say.

"Man this sucks! I'm paying my way for everything that I'm
doing and I haven't made a cent. If this doesn't start
making money in the next month or so I might as well quit
and get a part time job, because at least then I know I'm
getting paid for my time."

This is well and good, but to think this way would decrease
your overall personal time freedom and you would be leasing
your life out to someone else's business.

Further, this would lead you down a path of trying to prove
to yourself your business can't work.

What I mean is you'll stick to the script and the plan given
to you by your upline just long enough to prove to yourself
your system or your product doesn't "work".

Not what you want.

But if you look at the situation through the proper lens,
the entrepreneurial lens, you'll approach the situation from
a total different perspective and you'd be able to ask the
right question to improve your current business.

You'll say . . .

"What I'm doing right now doesn't seem to be providing my
most wanted outcome, now I know someone in this business is
making it happen in a big way, what are they doing? What am
I doing differently from them that's stopping me from
progress? Finally, how can I change what I do so that my
business produces the results that I want in a way that I'm
excited and enjoy doing?"

That's an enterprenurial mindset.

Do you see the difference between the two perspectives?

The first only takes the situation at face value and does
not attempt to push for real improvement and the second
looks deeper into the current situations for possible
solutions and improvements.

The same situation, yet vastly different thought patterns.

One will get you success in network marketing and one will
have you quiting your business in the next 3 months.

My only point is this . . .

In your business the things that happen, be it positive and
negative, are only such because of the way you perceive them.

Change your perception and you WILL change your business.

You Can Forget About The Competition When You Do This...

I was speaking with one of my counterparts last night and to
be honest he was steaming mad about how someone he knew had
stolen his idea and profited from it.

His immediate reaction was just that - a reaction to compete
on the same playing field and beat this guy to the punch.

I made the suggestion that instead of trying to outdo this
guy, let's be creative and create an entirely new solution
and I laid out the plan and I could tell he was more than
excited.

There is work to be done for sure, but it's a much better
solution than competition.

In your network marketing business never worry about what
the next guy is doing, get out there full of steam and a
heart full of passion and do YOUR thing and do it bigger and
better than you ever thought possible.

Forget about them and what they do, just do what you do and
do it to the best of your abilities.

I know this may sound cryptic in terms of how to apply this to
your network marketing business, but listen . . .

If you love your business, if you see that there is only
success for you and everyone that you expose to that
business, there is only one path of action and that's
getting to work.

There are NO hurdles to big for you. You'll always find a
way over, under or just plain out busting through them if you
start walking your path with a heart full of passion.

Don't let anyone tell you, you can't or list a thousand reasons
why it won't work and listen to them.

Understand that's why it won't work for them NOT you. You're
a winner. You get what you want out of life because you give
life all that you got and the only thing life can return
naturally is your desired end.

Believe this deep in heart and there's no stopping you.

Don't think how you can be better, think rather about what
you're going to create in your business and how and leave
the competition out of the picture - you'll end up leaving
them in the dust.

When there is no resistance in you for achieving your
desires the only thing you can do is get them.

Remember this . . .

The first step is both invaluable and priceless - it's
acquiring the knowledge that will get you results faster
than anything else. The less resistance you have internally
to taking the steps to learn what must be learned to get
done what you want done to fulfill your dreams the faster
you'll get there.

Take action now. Don't stop yourself, it's only slowing you
down.

The Duality Of Internet Network Marketing

It's a beautiful morning here in Kansas City. I woke up
and went out side and just sat there for a few minutes to
listen. There's a light breeze and just hearing the rustling
of the leaves as gentle wind blows on them is a powerfully
calming feeling.

As I sat there I thought about the internet and how we use
it. As I watched the leaves blow from one direction to the
next an extremely important principle popped into my mind.

Something I've never thought about directly, but just as
that gentle wind blew the leaves so does this affect your
business, maybe without you even knowing about it.

This may be one of the most important message that I ever
post. If you can understand what I am about to say
you'll understand the true fabric of both the internet and
using the internet to grow your network marketing business.

Understand this . . .

Just as there are two sides to everything, a ying and yang
to say, so are there two sides to your internet business and
many make the mistake by not taking note of this.

There are several things that you can do to generate
targeted traffic to your site and for each and every single
one of them there are about 50 guys with products telling
you and me how to do them the best. That's fine and it's
actually a good sign because it means there truly is more
than one way to skin a cat with any given traffic generation
technique, but unless you realize what you're doing you can
put a great deal of undue stress on yourself.

I don't mean know "what you're doing" in terms of being an
expert in any of this stuff, I mean a goal, a vision of what
your business is going to look like one year from now, and
then 5 and 10 years from now.

Without this you can easily put yourself in a position where
you're doing far too much for little to no appreciable
result and a mind full of mixed emotions and fear.

Quite a few of the people that email me fall into this trap.

(It's not their fault, it just happens to us if
we're not aware of what's going on in our mind and let our
emotions lead us.)

Their emails go something like this . . .

"Gary I've been doing xyz and I've generated some traffic,
but no one is buying anything I'm scared, frustrated, and I
think I'm going to quite."

What you think is what generally happens so when I read
these words I can literally see the little spark that
started their business, start to flutter out.

Further . . .

Even putting things like this into writing is the wrong idea
because it creates and transmits the wrong mental vibe for
success, and most likely will send you on a downward
spiral towards a negative outlook on your business. And if
you're not positive about your business you're on the way
out.

It's reactionary in nature.Entrepreneurs don't react they
create.

And all this happens because most don't really know what
they are doing. They have a vague idea that they want more
money right now and they've found a business with an
opportunity to fulfill that, but they don't think past it.

This happened to me when I began and it left me open to self
victimization. Anything that promised me money now I bought
and subsequently failed.

Understand this about the internet . . .

There are things that you can do that are quick fixes and
others that will build a foundation so that your business
continues to grow for years to come.

I chose to do the later, after trying the other way.

The strategies and the mental focus differ significantly.

If you think I need to set up a PPC campaign so that I can
get people into my business today because I need money right
now then you'll most likely do the following.

You'll find the quickest and easiest way to put up a vaguely
targeted Google Adwords campaign and just throw it out
there to see what sticks.

Most of the stuff won't. And you'll say I generated some
traffic but nothing is happening.

On the other hand, if you think with a long term perspective
in mind on your business when you approach your marketing,
even with that same exact PPC campaign you'll do things
totally differently.

You'll say I want this campaign to still produce targeted
traffic a year from now and I don't want to have to keep
updating it all the time, so let me make sure when I do my
research I do it thoroughly so I won't have to do it again.

It will take longer to do, but the results are much much
better both in the short and long term.

Do you see what I'm saying here?

It's where you focus your mind in your marketing that will
dictate your results.

Think first of what you want and then create your internet
advertising campaign around that, and what you want has to
be more specific than just some targeted traffic and some
leads and some people in my business so that I make money
now.

Have a real defined end in mind before the game begins.

And don't think this faulty mindset is something that only
happens to us as marketers. It happens to owners of network
marketing companies that go out of business in just a few
short years and those guys launching product after product
just to see what we will buy.

These people also have a frantic "now now now" frame of
mind.

Think about the type of people and companies you are dealing
with just as much as yourself when doing your marketing.

Stay as far away from those with vaguely defined goals and
visions of what they want no matter if they are your upline
leader, company owner, or the guy you're thinking about
buying an eBook from.

Why?

Well remember how I said I was listening and watching the
leaves blow in the wind?

If you follow the advice of a person who only thinks about right
now well then you become just like those leaves. You leave
yourself open to whatever weather blows you're way.

If you plan and set out only to do those things that fit
your plan you root yourself deep into the ground like a
sturdy oak tree that will not move.

What If Poeple Joined Your Business No Matter What?

Today let's focus on something very much overlooked in
network marketing, yet crucially important to success.

And the truth is it starts before money . . .

The focus for today is really the concept of leverage.

Archimedes said:

"Give me a lever long enough and I can move the
world."

What he was talking about was leverage, a concept that
states that given the proper position a small force can be
magnified into an exponentially larger force.

This concept is the basis of network marketing's power for
financial gains. Its how in a relatively short amount of
time one person starting from a standing start can go from
$0 to $23,000+ per month or more.

Now network marketers always talk about leverage, but I
don't know how many of them really understand this concept
in full.

Here's why . . .

Most network marketers only refer to this concept when they
speak about the earning potential for their given company,
i.e. the compensation plan, but that's really just the tip
of the iceberg.

Leverage applies to more than just how much a given
compensation plan can yield. It applies to every aspect of
the process as well.

If understood and applied correctly it can be used for far
more than just how much you can make in a given compensation
plan and that's your true advantage.

Here's what THEY miss:

Leverage applies not only to how much you can make in your
business, but also how quickly you can get there.

The components governing your earning potential within a
company are intrinsic factors, meaning they are dictated by
the internal workings of any given compensation plan.

This means you have no control over their application past
how quickly you can fulfill its requirements.

This is fine, but the secret is there is huge leverage to be
applied to the outside workings of this process, i.e. how fast
you can grow and these are FULLY within your control.

These are the components you must focus on because they are
the exact things, not only you have influence over, but in a
real sense dictate your success overall. Because this isn't
built into the compensation plan most network marketers
glaze over these points.

Now that you know they exist they are your hidden advantage
in the marketplace.

What are the extrinsic points of leverage you control?

1. How many people you bring into your network marketing
system

2. How quickly you bring people into your network marketing
system

3. The quality of the people that you bring into your network
marketing system

Yesterday I spoke about leads and their nature, well now
you see further why buying generic leads is a way in which
you give up a great deal of control and leverage on the
extrinsic side of your business.

Why?

Because when you buy leads you have no real control over the
3 factors just mentioned past how much you are willing to
pay to buy more. No matter how many you buy though, you will
never have control over the quality of leads when bought.

That's why, in my book, buying leads is not really the best
solution to growing your business if you truly desire
success.

The truth is it slows you down.

Take this for example . . .

How did I go from spending over $7,000 on leads and not
growing my network marketing business at all to growing a
team which has now reached almost 4700 people in a year and
a half?

1. I stopped buying and calling generic leads.

2. I created as much controllable leverage in my business as
possible.

How?

By creating a situation in which I not only control how many
and how fast I generate an unlimited flow of the highest
quality of leads I create maximal controllable leverage.

In other words, I create a situation where I simply can't loose
because there is simple so much leverage on my side.

You do this and you create a lever long enough to move as
many people as you want into your business.

Read this again, it may take a few times to really sink in.

That's the game I play, because I play to win, not to waste
time or money.

Don't you think it's time you made that choice?

Stay tuned because tomorrow we're gonna get into the details
of how to create massive leverage in your business and it
includes the all important topic of money. A lesson you
surely won't want to miss.
