These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Are you in over your head?

How's your system working?

If your computer is anything like mine was you will find hundreds
and hundreds of e-books, pages, special reports on these topics;
Affiliate marketing, joint ventures, AdSense, list building, private
label rights, pay per click, autoresponders, creating products,
SEO, niche marketing, blogging, tracking, generating traffic,
building a web site, ....etc.

I am here to tell you right now, you DO NOT need more information
on Internet marketing. You have tons of information on your computer
about how to market and how to build your opt-in list. You don't
need to buy another Internet marketing e-book, Internet marketing
seminar, or buy another Internet marketing membership site. You
don't need to order another high dollar traffic item or enroll in every
e-course and newsletter. How many newsletters did you say you
subscribe to? You also don't need that "New Program" that will drive
100,000 hits to your website in 24 hours! Now just how targeted can
that be anyway?

Let's face it, we are in information overload!

Enough is enough! There are a bunch of honest hard working people
out there that are truly interested in being financially independent.
They long for the day where they are not dependent on corporate
America for a pay check. Where they can spend time with their
families enjoying life and having the freedom to do whatever it is
that’s important to them, to YOU.

The problem is that you are bombarded everyday with the "new"
way to do things, so you buy another e-book or e-course and start
working on it. Three days into your new plan, the next "new" way
of doing things finds it's way into your e-mail inbox, and of course
this is the one to solve all your problems. This pattern keeps on
going and soon you find yourself broke and confused. You are
spinning your wheels not knowing what to do next. Nothing seems
to be working.

IT'S GOT TO STOP HERE AND NOW!

I am going to be brutally honest with you. Despite what you have
heard, building a successful Internet business is not about marketing,
it's about managing. There are plenty of resources out there to learn
how to market, just look on you computer. The problem is learning
how to implement all of these components of internet marketing
(list building, affiliate links, web sites, traffic...etc) into a SINGLE
day-to-day workable plan.

This is where it falls apart for most people. You have all this great
information and ideas, but you don't know what to do next. You
need, more than anything else, to figure out how to MANAGE your
internet business and all it's components so you can systematically
build your business one step at a time, one day at a time.

No one plans to fail, they just fail to plan.

Until you have a daily step-by-step system in place to build upon,
everything else is just a long list of distractions. You need to learn
how to put it all together so it makes sense, and so it makes you money.

You need to decide what you want to do. Make a decision. Form
a gameplan. Where do you want to go? How much do you want to
earn? How can you do it? What are the day-to-day steps I need to
take to reach my goals? Try to find someone who is willing to invest
their time in you. Don't jump on bandwagons as they come passing
by, and there will be plenty of them. Resist the temptation to continue
going from one to the next.

Get your own list of activities to do every single week. Plan things
out into daily assignments. Just get some things on a regular
schedule that you can follow week after week to gain some momentum
and steadily grow your business. It's critical that you develop a plan
here to work your way through each week. Hit and miss tactics just
don't work. You need momentum. You need to get a system in place.
And you need to get started today!

With the number of pyramid schemes going on at that time and the number of them crashing, the Federal Trade Commission convinced the federal government they should be outlawed and they were. Mainly, because there was no tangible product or legitimate service being offered and the people paying their fees received absolutely nothing in return.

The main difference in multi-level marketing online opportunities is that there is a product or service being sold and people pay a small fee for the rights to sell that product or service and all the perks that go with along with it. The program becomes a network of distributors and the number of people that share in the percentage of profits is typically limited. While these are the types of programs you will want to look into, that is not saying you will be a success at it as the product or service has to be one in which other people are interested.

Additionally, you will need to learn something about online marketing if you are going to hope to sell the product or service to anyone but family members and friends. Many times all this will do is convince your family and friends to cross the street when they see you approach. Internet Network Marketing, What Is It Really About?

Did you know that internet network marketing is not about what it seems to be?


It took me years to finally "get it". It turns out our products and services are not our true products. This business is not about selling people vitamins or skin care products. And it's not about getting people to join you in the business.

Do not think your product is your product and that it has everything to do with your overall success? In the end it doesn't matter if your product was used by the ancient Pigawatamee tribe, that it comes straight from the rain forests, whether it has patents, or even that it is more effective, cheaper and better.

None of that has much to do with your success. The only thing that matters is that your product does hold true value and provides a solution to the end user. There are a lot of companies out there with great products, which is the necessary ingredient for long-term growth, so stop worrying about the features and price point of your product.

Your REAL product is not what you think it is!

I could send you a ton of the greatest new super vitamin, but unless you know how to market it to the right people, you wouldn’t make a dime and you would have a house full of boxes!

The money is not in the product. The money is in the knowing how to market the product.

So the product is the marketing system and the people that come out the other side as leaders.

We are all here to learn how to be successful small business owners and to teach others how to do the same.

This is a leadership development business. Our product is our people. We go out and find the right people and train them with the skills and attitude for success. For those who wish to broaden their MLM network but don’t have the time, money, and energy to do so, a quick and dirty solution is to simply step up your advertising efforts. Take note that advertising does not necessarily mean putting up billboards or placing ads on the TV or radio. It also means doing a number of little things to help your clients recognize and remember you.

If you have advertised in any type of medium before, then you must aware that advertising costs can quickly pile up. If the advertising is done as part of a home business marketing campaign, you simply cannot afford to spend too much. If you did, the cost of building your MLM network will simply outweigh the potential benefits.
